The State Railway of Thailand provides signs in English & plenty of tourist information desks. Help with taxi or hotel.

The Bangkok train station is immaculate with assorted restaurants & convenience stores to provide for traveler needs. Even in rural areas signs & schedules are in both Thai & English. Rural train station staff somewhat, generally & kinda bi-lingual.

Bilingual Thai staff is 90% English speaking & extremely polite, friendly, courteous & helpful.
